Article Summary

Welcome to iTextPRO, your gateway to efficient document management! To get started with accessing the iTextPRO admin site, you'll need to log in using the Admin URL and login credentials provided by our Service Delivery team.

Once you've successfully logged in, you'll be greeted by a user-friendly interface equipped with various navigation controls. The primary navigation control to kickstart your experience is 'User Administration — User Management.' Keep in mind that the associated controls nested under this menu will only become visible once you input a specific username and hit the 'View' button.

For in-depth insights into the functionality of the Administration section, you'll find comprehensive descriptions of the various controls in the subsequent sections of this document. Whether you're managing users or exploring a lot of features at your disposal, this document will serve as your trusty guide to maximizing the potential of iTextPRO.

User Administration:

Navigating to the User Management page is a breeze. Just click on the 'User Management' option, and it will seamlessly guide you to the User Management page.

To continue, enter the username you're interested in within the dedicated search box and hit the 'View' button. Our search box is designed with intelligence in mind – it automatically populates matching records in alphabetical order, making your search quick and effortless.

Add New User:

Diving into the process of expanding your user base is a cinch. Just give that "Add New User" button a click, and you'll have the power to initiate the creation of a brand-new user account.

However, please keep in mind that to ensure a comprehensive setup of a user account, you'll need to provide the following essential information. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Step 1:

The moment you click the "Add New User" button, iTextPRO seamlessly guides you to a dedicated page where you can input the user's particulars. Here's what you'll need to fill in:

First Name: Enter the user's first name.
Last Name: Provide the user's last name.
Address: Input the address of the user.
User Name: Select a unique username for the user to access the User Panel.
Password: Set a secure password for the user to log in to the User Panel. It should be a minimum of 8 characters and include at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 numeric character, and 1 special character.
Email ID: Enter the user's email address. This email will serve as the primary contact point for future communication. iTextPRO will also utilize it for sending important email alerts, including welcome emails, OTP verification emails, and more, in accordance with the Admin SMTP settings.
Mobile Number: Provide the registered mobile number of the user for future communications.
Time Zone: Select the user's local time zone. This feature allows the application to convert date and time information received on your admin panel to the user's preferred display/time zone. It has an impact on features like "User's Campaign name" and "Campaign Reports," as well as the "Sent Message count."
User Currency: This currency is used for display purposes only. All financial transactions are processed in the application's base currency. However, for a more personalized experience, you can choose the user's display currency. Please note that the display currency is subject to real-time conversion and may vary based on the conversion factor.
User Account Validity: You have two options to consider:
Custom Validity: With this option, you can define an end date for the user account. Once the specified end date is reached, the user will no longer be able to log in to their account.
Lifetime Validity: By selecting this option, the user account is created with unlimited(lifetime would an appropriate word) validity.
User Account Type: Choose between two account types:
User: Selecting the user account type grants access to the user panel, where the user can send messages and manage their account. For further details, refer to the User Module document.
Reseller: Opting for the reseller account type provides a white-label reseller account with customizable branding features, such as uploading the company logo and company information. Resellers can also configure the cost price for each customer, creating an additional revenue stream. Notably, it's possible to upgrade the category of a user account type to a reseller account type with ease.

This comprehensive guide ensures that your user account setup is both seamless and tailored to your specific needs.

Step 2: Notification Details (Optional):

The Notification Details feature offers a user-friendly interface to efficiently manage iTextPro notification alerts, such as Login OTPs, Approval Notifications, New User Email Verifications, Rate Plan Price Updates, and more.

Customize your notifications by adding multiple stakeholders' email addresses based on your specific needs. This intuitive tool streamlines the process of handling various alerts for a seamless user experience.

Upon clicking the "Create New User" button, a welcome email will be sent to the end user. It is important for the admin/reseller to configure the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings to enable the email alerts.

Additionally, iTextPRO will display a confirmation message indicating the successful creation of the user. At this point, you will be prompted to choose one of the available actions.

I will do it some other time: By selecting this option, iTextPRO will redirect you to the profile section of the newly created user account.

OK! Let’s do it: When you click on this option, iTextPRO will open the Account Configuration Wizard, which provides an easy-to-use interface for configuring user settings in your user account.

Step 3: Configuring Gateway Settings

After selecting "OK! Let's do it," the next step involves choosing the processing method for messages. You will encounter two options:

Option 1: Yes

Select this option if you want to channel all messages from this user through a fixed gateway. This ensures that every message sent by the user follows a predefined route through a specific gateway.

Option 2: No, I will add the routing rule at a later stage.

Opt for this option if you prefer to manage the routing of messages from this user based on the Mobile Terminated (MT) routing rule configured in the Main Routing Engine. iTextPRO will dynamically select a gateway based on the matching rule set for the specific user.

If you wish to bypass this configuration step, simply click on the "Skip" button. iTextPRO will then proceed to the next configuration step, allowing you to tailor the settings according to your preferences.

This flexibility ensures that iTextPRO adapts to your messaging needs, providing you with a customized and efficient experience.

Step 4: Adding SMS Credits to Your User Account

After clicking "Save & Go Next," you will be prompted to manage your SMS credits. Follow these steps to ensure a seamless experience:

Enter Credits:
Input the desired number of SMS credits you wish to add to your user account..

Save Changes:
Click on the "Save" button to confirm and apply the changes to your SMS credits.

Proceed to the Next Step:
After saving your changes, you can proceed to the next step in the configuration process.
Managing your SMS credits ensures uninterrupted messaging services. Keep an eye on your current balance to stay informed about available resources.

Note: All transactions related to credits take place in base currency only.

Step 5: Choosing Sender ID Policy

After selecting "Save & Go Next," tailor your messaging experience by choosing the Sender ID policy that best suits your needs. The Sender ID, synonymous with From Address or Originator Address, is a key aspect of message identification.

Here are the available options:

Dynamic Sender ID:

Opt for "Dynamic Sender ID" if you prefer flexibility. This option empowers users to employ any numeric or alphanumeric sender ID when composing a message. Enjoy the freedom to personalize your sender identity based on your messaging context.

Fixed Sender ID:

Choose "Fixed Sender ID" for a consistent and predefined sender identity. Configure a single sender ID, which will be displayed by default in the user's account when composing a message. This ensures uniformity in your sender identification across all messages.

Instructions:

Select your preferred Sender ID policy by choosing either "Dynamic Sender ID" or "Fixed Sender ID."
Save your configuration changes by clicking on the "Save" button.

Next Steps:
Proceed to the next step in the configuration process after saving your Sender ID preferences.

Customizing your Sender ID policy enhances the clarity and recognition of your messages.

Step 6: Setting Up SMPP Account for Wholesale Customers

Upon selecting "Save & Go Next," you'll have the opportunity to create an SMPP account tailored to your wholesale customers. Here's how to proceed:

Create SMPP Account:
Choose "Yes" to initiate the setup of an SMPP account for your wholesale customers.

Configure SMPP Details:
Upon selecting "Yes," iTextPRO will redirect you to configure the SMPP details for your user.
Default information such as Server IP and Port No. will be displayed for your reference.

Enter SMPP Account Details:
Provide the following details when configuring the SMPP account:
System ID: This serves as the username for connecting to the SMPP account.
Password: Set a secure password associated with the SMPP account for authentication.
Whitelist IP: Specify specific IP addresses allowed access to the SMPP account. This enhances security by permitting only whitelisted IP addresses to terminate SMS to the iTextPRO application.

Best Practice:
It is recommended to follow whitelisting IP addresses to prevent spamming of SMS traffic. You can add IP addresses at a later stage if needed.

Note: Besides specifying specific IP addresses, you have the option to use an open IP address (e.g., 0.0.0.0) for a particular SMPP account. In this case, user bind requests will be validated based on the provided system ID and password, without considering the IP address.

Next Steps:
Complete the configuration by saving your SMPP account details and proceed to the next step.

Step 7: Managing User Account
Congratulations on successfully configuring your user account in iTextPRO! Upon completion, iTextPRO will present a completion message, offering the following options:

Option 1: Impersonate
Choose this option to log in or impersonate the user by clicking "Yes." This allows you to access the user account seamlessly, eliminating the need for separate login credentials. After impersonation, the user account will open in a new tab within the same browser window, enabling simultaneous management of both user and admin accounts.

Option 2: Setup Advance Billing
Opt for this option to configure the rate plan for the user, allowing you to set up a customized pricing structure. Upon selecting "Manage Rate Plan," you can add new selling prices and import rate plan templates with ease.

Welcome Email:
A welcome email will be automatically sent to the registered email ID of the user, providing essential information and confirming successful account creation.

Show Failed Messages in List View:
When enabled, iTextPRO displays all failed messages in users' accounts under the list view report, providing details such as Mobile number, message, submit date-time, done date-time, message status, and error code.

Enable Loss Protection on Failover Gateway:
Activating this feature safeguards against potential business loss due to misconfigurations in the user account's selling price. Loss protection is extended even on the failover gateway.

Master Failover Gateway:
This global setting defines a failover gateway. In case of primary gateway outage, A to Z connectivity SMS traffic is routed to the failover gateway.

Low Credit Alert Notification:
Set a global threshold for low credit mail alerts. Users receive alerts when their available account balance crosses this threshold, prompting them to recharge their accounts.

Gateway Queue Threshold Limit:
Configure a threshold value for in-queue messages (Gateway Queue). An Email alert is triggered to the admin when this value is reached, providing details on the gateway and the number of in-queue messages.

Maximum Number of Alerts in a Day:
Set an upper limit for the maximum number of Email alerts in a day to prevent spam. This helps manage frequent alerts triggered during probable outages or similar situations.

Minimum Interval Between Two Alerts:
Define an optimal interval in minutes between each Email alert to prevent excessive alerts. This ensures a reasonable and controlled notification frequency.

Default Country and Time Zone:
Configure default country and time zone settings. This information is displayed on user signup and the "Add a new user" option. It allows users to select their country and time zone based on their preferences, enabling conversion of date and time to the user's desired display/time zone.

Open Sender ID and Templates for Users:
Enabling these options activates open sender ID and template settings by default for new user creation.

Global Over-Selling Threshold:
Pre-configured in the admin account, the global overselling threshold (overdraft limit) can be applied to user accounts.

These settings collectively contribute to the customization, efficiency, and control of iTextPRO, ensuring a tailored and seamless experience for both administrators and users.
